Why Our Wallets Must No Longer Be the Ruler of Our Lives

Some things are more important than money, an economy booming like it hasn’t in many years, huge tax breaks for big business and the wealthy, and a flourishing stock market. To some this statement is true and they live by it. For others, this statement is very secondary. It sounds nice but it has no base of reality in their lives. Read the rest of the story here…

Forget "Norms." How About Seeking What's Just and for the Good of All?

Sameness keeps us comfortable but do we grow and evolve and live rewarding exciting lives in sameness? Is sameness actually a square, a box we choose to remain in for comfort’s sake? Comfort to a point is good, for sure. But living inside the comfortable square all the time literally boxes us in and keeps us from exploring what could be.

Don’t Try to Make Me Take On Your Beliefs: How Mandating or Shaming Others to Adopt A Belief System They Don’t Feel Is Destructive to Our Societal and Spiritual Fabric

Whoopi Goldberg says it all the time on ABC’s The View. We are all free to adopt whatever beliefs we choose. If you don’t believe in or like what the person next to you is doing, then don’t do it yourself. Just don’t try to mandate how your neighbor should believe. Just go on and live your best life and stop trying to force feed your belief system into other people. You can offer what you believe to be true or right but it needs to stop at the offering. If your neighbor chooses not to accept your gift, then let it go.

If It's Drama, It's Ego: How to Live a Life of Serenity and Still Learn, Grow and Evolve

The bottom line is this: If it’s drama, it’s ego. In other words, if we have lots of anguish, quarreling, arguing, fighting, judgment, pointing of fingers, victimization, feeling sorry for self, arrogance, oppression, chastisement, need for self-importance and rigid dogmas in our world—it all comes from and is manufactured by the ego run amok. It certainly is not heart centered living. This is just what ego loves which is why it constantly seeks to create it. Ego dines on the negative destructive energies it helps us to create with our consent. But there is another way to live and live well.

Why Do We Apologize When We Cry? Tears Can Be a Sign of Strength and Authenticity

Do you feel uncomfortable when someone cries? Or does your heart just go out to that person? Do you cry freely or do you hold not just the tears but the feelings back? Do you see someone who cries as weak? Most of us have been trained since we were young not to cry, especially men, or at least to keep it to a minimum, but why? What is our belief system about emotional release? Could it be that the repression of emotions leads to imbalance and sickness? Any time we repress what comes naturally, this is unhealthy. It is widely believed repressed emotion causes cancer.

Errors Are Part of Life: It’s How We Respond to Them That Transforms Them Into Light

With each life lesson that confronts us, whether it lasts for a moment in time, twelve hours, or several weeks or months, we can all agree that we learn and grow enormously. How Sacred Ritual Has the Potential to Reveal to Us Our True Selves

I was recently reminded of a powerful moon rite. When I performed it on the new and full moons and during the time in between, I didn’t realize I would garner gifts from the practice more than I ever intended. Not only did I enjoy this simple “creation rite,"  the great being within me spontaneously and magnificently took the helm on the new moon creation night. It was on that night that I realized just how much ritual has the potential to reveal to us our true Selves. What follows is my account of this outrageous experience.

Think For Yourself. Smash Dogmas. Be Sovereign.

Like automatons, most of us do not truly know how to think for ourselves. We put celebrities on pedestals that we look up to as if we ourselves are nobody at all. We assume that because someone holds the title and position of pope or president, they are automatically entitled to our admiration. We buy other peoples’ and organizations’ belief systems and then wonder why we feel so trapped so unhappy. We live in fear of loss of all kinds. These are all learned behaviors, behaviors programmed into us from birth. The beautiful thing is we actually really do have intellects and feeling souls and free will.

Breaking Free of Herd Consciousness: How Our Awareness of Programming Helps Us to Step Out of Limiting Boxes

We’ve got to break out of our herd consciousness. Most people are going through their days and nights by rote, repeating the same actions, habits and routines day by day by day. We’ve become so accustomed to it that we no longer question it. Like automatons we mostly just go through the motions day in and day out. Is this productive? Who is gaining from it? Are we? Or are those who created the programs the ones who are gaining the most? I’m sure this is so.

I'm Speaking Loudly and Clearly: What I Learned In a Recent Dream Experience

I’ve recently realized I’ve maybe not been loud enough and clear enough in my blog and social media posts. Sometimes, while we’re trying not to offend anyone and attract people to our message with honey rather than vinegar, we water down our message. It starts to not even look like what we wanted to say in the first place. In fact, the intended message might become totally misunderstood because it’s so sugar coated, it only carries a shadow of our original heart's message. From now on, what I say or the way I say it might not be exactly politically correct but it won't be nasty. It will just be honest. I'll be shouting out–speaking loudly and clearly.

12 Ways to Cope with Current Events: Finding Peace and Joy In Life Through Our Creative Nature

Won't it be wonderful when opposing "sides" are not so sharply divided and we all can begin to understand why we all believe as we do? In listening to the whys for various beliefs, perhaps this process will one day soon lead us to open our mental and spiritual vistas to accept truth in the far vaster picture of what is real. It can only occur if we expand our understanding nature to compassionately listen and realize where each person comes from.

Do Not Be Seduced by Dark Forces: How We Can and Must Learn to Discern

We might say that maybe we must always do as our authority figures say. For the more spiritually adventurous we might go so far as to say we’re wise to follow the pointers our spirit guides give us. In the end, we must determine for ourselves how we receive the counsel, decrees and laws of another. Are we listening to other voices or do we rely on our very own inner voice, the one that comes from the feeling and not the thinking place?

Underneath the Hate 2017: Touching the Tipping Point

It's fear that causes people to hate. Fear causes people the need to feel superior over others. It causes us to fight, to hurt other, and to close our minds right up.

Hate-and-fear is like a cloak that many wear as a form of protection. In their minds, it's a protection, but it's false.  All it does is make us ugly and drag our own lives down.

Revealing the Secrets of the Universe

Ask the questions. Don’t hesitate to ask the questions on the big life subjects you’ve wondered about for a long time and for which you don’t have real answers yet.
